The short answer

Most made-to-order jewelry from The Karat Store reaches you in about eight business days: four business days for us to make your piece and dispatch it, then about four business days in transit on a tracked DHL Express service. Delivery is free worldwide, taxes are included in the price, and every order has 60-day free returns.

Why we make each piece to order

We do not keep finished rings and necklaces sitting in a drawer waiting for a buyer. When you choose a karat, a metal color, a ring size and a stone, that exact combination is made for you in our own workshop. That is why you can order 10K, 14K or 18K solid gold in the size you actually wear, rather than picking from whatever happened to be made in advance.

It also means the piece you receive has been through a final quality check days, not months, before it arrives.

The timeline, stage by stage

What can make it longer

Business days do not include weekends or public holidays, so an order placed on a Friday effectively starts on the Monday. Customs checks in your own country are outside our control and can add a day or two. And in the weeks before Christmas, courier networks are busier than usual, so ordering early matters more then than it does in March.
